George Andrew Mock was an American landscape painter based out of Muncie, Indiana. Mock started out taking drawing classes at Muncie Normal. He took these classes for a year before he decided he wanted to move out to Chicago. In Chicago he studied at the Art Institute. After four years, he concluded his studies and started to practice commercial art. In the 1910’s he took a trip out to Brown County and was surprised that he found a thriving and bustling community of artists there. A few years later he started to make frequent trips out there, this is where he would see his photographer friend, Frank Hohenberger. Mock exhibited at the Hoosier Salon numerous times.
